Custom Fitted Mouth Guards

Custom fitted mouth guards are custom fitted to each individual athlete’s mouth and teeth structure providing customised, high performance protection for the mouth and teeth alike. Mouth guards are very important in the protection of your teeth whilst playing sports which have a risk of impact on the jaw and mouth. Custom fitted mouth guards provide the greatest level of comfort and protection.

‘Off the shelf’ mouth guards usually provide a minimal amount of protection and regularly fail to protect the back teeth. As they are poorly fitted, the athlete has to clench their teeth to keep the guard in place which impedes the athlete’s ability to breath and talk. ‘Boil and bite’ mouth guards are better than ‘off the shelf guards’ but are often very bulky. Additionally, when the user moulds the guard the first time after boiling, the plastic wears thin as the soft mould is squashed between the teeth. The result is less protection from a thinner plastic. Custom fitted mouth guards provide far superior protection and comfort for the athlete which greatly enhances the sporting experience for only a small investment.
